WEBSHOP IS LIVE

This shop functions as a gateway to SEXYLAND’s online platform, as a drop-off point for artworks, and as a literal gathering place for art, ideas and conversations. 

Our Shop is a showcase where artists with varying status, experience and backgrounds can display and sell their equally diverse works. We reduce all art to shelved products in order to create a mutual starting point. Shared ownership, which forms the core of the SEXYLAND concept, now takes the shape of an alternative gallery. Because we believe in each other and can only accomplish something bigger together, we share one (digital) showcase. We do not curate.  

There is room for each artist to add one artwork to our inventory. Anyone who considers their work worthy may participate. The submitted works will be offered online and remain in the shops storage. After that, the works will remain part of the ever growing and changing online collection until they’re sold.

We only accept your own creations or made by a collective. We do not accept works made by other people than yourself. Respect to the OG’s. 

WHAT TYPE OF WORK?

PAINTINGS, SCULPTURES, VIDEO WORK, ADVICE, PERFORMANCE ART, FASHION DESIGN, PHOTOGRAPHY and MORE!
If you think your work is worthy of being part of our shared platform, then it is! 

(If your work isn’t physical, bring an object or image that represents the final work. USB drives for video works or a relic for a (future) performance.)

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

YOU GET 90% OF YOUR SOLD WORK. 

The share of your work will be paid. 10% goes to SEXYLAND to maintain the platform. The value of your work, selling price, is up to you to decide. 

HOW DO U BRING YOUR WORK?

When you come to our space, bring your work. At the counter of our space there is someone who will help you fill in the registration form, and taadaa your art work will be uploaded onto our webshop and visible in the gallery/shop.

We encourage everyone to bring their work on the opening evening, the 12th of September between 17:00 and 21:00. Otherwise at a later moment during our opening hours (wed-sun between 12:00-19:00). We’re accepting work until the 31th of October.

WE WILL DOCUMENT YOUR WORK, AND ADD IT TO OUR STORAGE 

Submitted works will be offered online and can be viewed and collected in the shop. We will provide the necessary guidance and promotion. During the project we will host a series of interventions/activations within the shop that may include your work.

By the end of the project, all purchased works can be collected by the new owners on November 5th and 6th between 12:00-19:00. All works that haven’t been sold go back to the artists. Pickup date: November 7th and 8th. We’ll pay all artists in this final week. If the work is sold through the webshop after this period, we will inform the artist immediately. The work will be shipped or delivered directly by the artist.

Our shop is an ongoing process, a work in progress, we will react to the opportunities and challenges along the way. Our Webshop is Life and we’re Open for All. We are very excited to welcome you and your work!
